House of Scratch now has a confirmed show venue and date for the Inaugural Physical Gallery Group Show! Hang Man Gallery in Toronto’s historic Riverdale District has shown considerable interest in the project and offered a 3 week spot from October 6th to October 25th, 2009.

Hang Man Gallery, located at 756 Queen Street East in a rustic, open concept building with exposed brick walls, has a long standing history of accountability and excellence where artists are concerned. They’re also part of the prestigious Artists Network of Riverdale. To learn more click here.

In order to make sure everything goes off without a hitch, we’re going to be raising some funds for the House of Scratch Inaugural Physical Gallery Group Show or the HOSIPhyGGS (pronounced Haus-i-figs).

We’re offering the opportunity to own an original painting of surrealism for only $2! That’s right, $2.

The May 2009 Painting Raffle is offering “Pumpkin Portrait”, created and painted by Sean Chappell, artist and co-founder of House of Scratch. (See above image, how can you miss it?!) It’s acrylic on canvas, 9″ wide by 12″ tall.

The lucky winner will be drawn at the end of July and shipping will be included. When we said you could own this painting for $2, we weren’t kidding.

We’re offering just about every method of payment for the raffle. You can pay for your tickets through PayPal or by money order, cheque, or cash.

To send payment through the mail, be sure to provide your name and email address (to receive you raffle ticket numbers)  and conceal your choice of payment in a folded piece of paper, then send it to: House of Scratch, 2-276 Gilmour Avenue, Toronto ON, M6P 3B7, Canada. Please be advised we cannot be held responsible for payments that are lost by the postal service.

To absolutely be sure we have your name and email correct, you can also send us an email and let us know how many tickets you’ve purchased and that payment is on its way using our Contact Form. Once your funds have cleared, raffle ticket numbers will be emailed to the email address you have provided.

If you would like to pay for your tickets with PayPal…

PayPal will not support a raffle. It is considered gaming and their policies won’t support those kinds of exploits. That being said…House of Scratch can still accept donations to the site. For the month of July, if you’d like to show your appreciation of the site by making a donation, we’ll show our gratitude by offering you free raffle tickets.
