The June 2009 Exhibition is now underway. It’s quite a mix of mediums this month–digital illustration, lithography, sculpture, painting. Styles range from lighthearted and whimsical to moody, emotional and dark… What would House of Scratch be without some darkness?! This month marks a number of firsts. This is the first show to display watercolour as a medium, as can be seen in Mary Gutfleisch’s illustrative paintings. Also a first is the presence of sculpted canvas painting as presented by William Butler. Lastly, Vox Pop Art is the collaboration of two artists,  Roy Bryant and Ellen Barnett. This show is probably the most ecletic of all our shows to date.

Now it is up to you, the viewer, to pick the artist(s) whose work you believe should be considered the “Best of the Best” in the exhibition. Take some time and view the entire show, then scroll to the end of the post and fill out our “Best of the Best” Survey.  Based on your informed opinion and those of the House of Scratch team, one artist will be designated “Best of the Best”, awarded a $50 cash prize and offered a spot in our first ever physical gallery group exhibition, as well as a special page on House of Scratch showcasing their artworks!
