The figurative work of Miles Davis explores the sensibilities of the human condition and contemporary spirituality. His paintings borrow aesthetics from mass media, calling back to his generation’s culture of comic books and video games. His subject matter often portrays the contradictory impulses of people’s moral compasses and animal instincts, whether happy, remorseful, or brutal. Due to the diverse scope of emotion and transcendental qualities available in his pieces, Miles’s work has connected and resonated with a wide audience. In the end, he hopes the viewer can take from the work a sense of the universal human condition and possibly look inside themselves and evaluate their own spiritual sensitivities.

Though still new to many audiences, the artwork of Miles Davis has been embraced by thousands of people, worldwide. His paintings are included in corporate and private collections throughout the United States. He has worked with gold selling recording artists, such as Sevendust, and is consistently doing commission work. Since graduating from Auburn University in 2003 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art, Miles has been on a mission to expose the world to his unique style.

Miles currently resides in Atlanta, GA, where he exhibits in many local galleries and shops.

Miles Davis is the fifth artist to be added to the House of Scratch line up for the upcoming House of Scratch Inaugural Physical Gallery Group Show or HOSIPhyGGS (pronounced Haus-i-figs). The show has been confirmed at the Hang Man Gallery in Toronto from October 6th to October 25th and we’ll be happy to receive Miles’ sensual, spiritual, often angelic, sometimes demonic work into the show. His will be a fantastic compliment to what is really shaping up to be a phenomenal roster of brilliant artists!
